My daughter, Hailey, was born on December 1, 2009 and spent the first few days of her life in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). She was later diagnosed with Trisomy 18 and passed away on January 6, 2010. The experience of having our brand new baby in a NICU was overwhelming and quite difficult. We were unprepared as we were suddenly thrust into an unexpected situation. Thankfully, our friends were able to make a long drive from home to bring us some necessities as we stayed with our daughter in the hospital.
After Hailey passed away I learned of a group of parents whose babies also spent time in a NICU and because of those experiences started a project called Project Sweet Peas. Project Sweet Peas seeks to provide a little touch of comfort and support for parents of children in the intensive care unit by providing them with gift bags. In April, I started a project in memory of Hailey called Hailey's Hope. Project Sweet Peas currently consists of 14 locally run projects by parents like myself. Each project works in conjunction with a hospital in her state. Hailey's Hope currently donates its gift bags to the NICUs at The Children's Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
Hailey's Hope and Project Sweet Peas are able to deliver our NICU gift bags thanks to the donations of others. In June, Hailey's Hope was able to donate 36 bags in memory of the 36 days that Hailey lived. Currently we are working toward delivering a HUGE donation on Hailey's birthday, which brings me to why I started Blossoms of Blessings.
Since we run solely on donations, I needed a new way to help me raise money for Hailey's Hope. When Hailey was born I had wanted one of these flowers headbands, but I didn't know where to find one and didn't have the time to look since we were busy taking care of her. Awhile back I learned how to make these headbands, and I thought selling them would be a great way for me to raise money. Selling these headbands will not only bless babies in the NICUs and their families because they will help us provide them with gift bags, but the headbands also make great gifts and will bless other babies who will look absolutely adorable wearing them!

Each headband is $8.00 plus shipping.
You can also select a "Basket of Blossoms" (any 5 headbands in stock with a decorative basket) for $36.00 plus shipping.
All items are fairly and competitively priced. Please remember this is for a good cause! ALL proceeds go to helping provide a gift bag for a family who has a baby in a NICU.
For each $8.00 headband purchased, approximately $5 is being donated to Hailey's Hope with Project Sweet peas.

Currently I am only accepting payment via checks. Once I receive your email order I will give you the details on who to make the check payable to and where to mail your payment. Once I receive your payment I will ship your order within 1-2 days. Orders typically take less than 5 business days to ship.
